Abstract

Indigenous entrepreneurs face the challenge of sustaining cultural identity while adapting to global innovation in MSME management. This study explores how local wisdom and global innovation are integrated within indigenous business practices. Using a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was applied to identify patterns of cultural preservation, selective innovation, and community-based governance. Findings reveal that indigenous entrepreneurs strategically adapt digital tools and modern technologies while maintaining cultural integrity and collective values. Innovation is filtered through local norms, resulting in hybrid models that are socially inclusive and contextually grounded. This research concludes that tradition and innovation can coexist to strengthen MSME sustainability. Future studies should explore comparative frameworks across diverse indigenous groups and analyze long-term adaptation under external pressures.
