Plagiarism Policy

  • Originality Requirement

    • All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publisher.

    • Submissions must contribute novel insights to multidisciplinary Islamic studies.

  • Definition of Plagiarism

    • Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

      • Copying text, tables, figures, or data from other works without proper citation.

      • Paraphrasing another author’s ideas or findings without acknowledgment.

      • Self-plagiarism, i.e., reusing substantial parts of one’s own previously published work without citation or justification.

  • Plagiarism Screening

    • All manuscripts are checked using Turnitin or equivalent software.

    • Overall similarity index must not exceed 20%, and no single source may exceed 2%.

    • Manuscripts exceeding these limits may be returned for revision or rejected at the editor’s discretion.

  • Editorial Actions and Sanctions

    • Minor violation → Authors are requested to revise and properly cite sources.

    • Moderate/major violation → Manuscript may be rejected or retracted, and the author’s affiliated institution will be notified.

  • Author Responsibility

    • Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their work.

    • All ideas, quotations, and data from other sources must be properly cited.

  • Ethical Purpose

    • The policy upholds:

      • Academic honesty and integrity

      • Compliance with international publication ethics standards

      • Scholarly credibility and reputation of the journal

      • A culture of ethical research and writing within multidisciplinary Islamic studies

  • Editorial Oversight

    • Editors and reviewers actively monitor for potential plagiarism during the peer review process.

    • Ethical compliance is a condition for acceptance and publication
