Peer Review Process

  • Submission Stage

    • Manuscripts are submitted via the journal’s official online system.

    • Submissions must comply with the author guidelines, ethical standards, and formatting requirements.

  • Initial Screening

    • The editorial office checks manuscript completeness, originality, relevance to the journal’s focus on Islamic studies, and compliance with publication ethics (e.g., plagiarism, data integrity).

    • Manuscripts not meeting basic criteria may be desk-rejected.

  • Editorial Evaluation

    • The editor evaluates scholarly quality, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, and relevance to multidisciplinary Islamic research.

    • Manuscripts with low originality or insufficient contribution may be rejected at this stage.

  • Double-Blind Peer Review

    • Manuscripts passing editorial evaluation are sent to at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind system.

    • Reviewers assess:

      • Methodology and research design

      • Theoretical framework and literature integration

      • Data accuracy and analytical rigor

      • Clarity, coherence, and originality of arguments

      • Contribution to the field of Islamic studies

  • Editorial Decision

    • Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editor issues one of the following decisions:

      • Accept

      • Minor Revision

      • Major Revision

      • Reject

    • Detailed reviewer comments are provided to authors to guide revisions.

  • Revision & Resubmission

    • Authors revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ and editor’s recommendations.

    • Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers before final acceptance.

  • Final Editing & Proofreading

    • Post-acceptance, the editorial team performs:

      • Language and grammar checks

      • Consistency in citation and referencing style

      • Formatting alignment with journal standards

      • Verification of tables, figures, and supplementary materials

  • Publication

    • Accepted manuscripts are published in the Journal of Multidisciplinary in Islam in print and online.

    • Open access ensures wider dissemination, in accordance with the journal’s policy.
