This study aims to analyze the role of Management Information Systems (MIS) in enhancing transparency and accountability in Islamic educational institutions. The study is motivated by the importance of transparent and accountable institutional management to optimize resource utilization and strengthen stakeholder trust. A qualitative approach with a library research design was employed. Data were collected through a systematic review of scholarly literature, journal articles, and relevant case studies, and analyzed using descriptive-analytical methods. The findings indicate that the implementation of MIS supports faster and more accurate access to information, structured reporting systems, and strengthened monitoring and evaluation of academic and administrative performance. However, the implementation of MIS still faces challenges, including limited technological competencies, resource constraints, resistance to change, and data security risks. This study concludes that MIS plays a strategic role in supporting transparency and accountability and recommends strengthening training, change management, and data security systems.
