This study examines the role of ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood) and Islamic philanthropy as the foundation for building a civil society. Ukhuwah Islamiyah is understood as a bond based on faith and piety, fostering solidarity, care, and social responsibility among community members. Islamic philanthropy, through practices such as zakat, infak, sadaqah, and waqf, serves as a concrete means to channel social concern, strengthen solidarity, and promote justice and community welfare. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing literature review, interviews with community leaders and philanthropic institution managers, and field observations to understand social practices and the impact of ukhuwah and philanthropy in society. Data analysis is conducted thematically by comparing field findings with theoretical studies and previous research. The results indicate that ukhuwah Islamiyah builds the moral and spiritual foundation of society, while Islamic philanthropy translates this care into concrete actions that reinforce social solidarity. The synergy between the two creates a harmonious, inclusive, and civilized social order, supporting the formation of a prosperous civil society. The study concludes that strengthening ukhuwah and sustaining philanthropic practices are key to realizing a civil society aligned with Islamic values.
