Abstract

This study examines the logic (method) of thinking underlying the development of Islamic Community Development as an epistemological and methodological foundation for responding to Muslim social dynamics. Using a qualitative-descriptive library research approach, the study analyzes scholarly books and peer-reviewed articles on modes of reasoning, Islamic logic (mantiq), and community development. Data were examined through systematic stages of collection, reduction, categorization, and interpretative analysis. The findings reveal that the logic of thinking in Islamic Community Development is integrative, combining scientific rationality, Islamic spiritual values, and empirical social understanding. This logic is reflected in the principles of tawhid, maslahah orientation, empowerment, participation, sustainability, and balance between worldly and ukhrawi dimensions. The study’s novelty lies in mapping this logic as a methodological framework that positions Islamic Community Development as a distinct academic discipline. The findings contribute to strengthening its epistemological foundation and offer guidance for future empirical and applied research.
