Abstract

This study examines the role of collaboration between universities and communities in fostering local development engagement. The research was conducted to address the growing need for effective partnerships that bridge academic resources with community needs. The objective is to analyze the influence of collaboration, participation, and university contributions on local development outcomes. A quantitative survey method was employed involving 250 respondents from both university stakeholders and community representatives. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, multiple regression, and ANOVA with SPSS software. The results indicate that all three variables significantly affect development engagement, with university contributions showing the strongest impact. Both groups reported high and consistent perceptions, suggesting shared commitment toward collaboration. In conclusion, structured partnerships enhance social capacity, innovation, and sustainability. Future studies are recommended to apply longitudinal designs and comparative analyses across regions to strengthen generalizability.
